Here are pictures from our trip to New Orleans. It was our first time there and we loved it. The food was amazing, the people were great, the art and music were amazing. Definitely going back soon.
Day 1
This is our hotel lobby. The Omni Crescent
We was hongries so we were on a quest for some good food. Then we found Pierre Maspero's
I ordered a Shrimp Po Boy

He ordered the Blackened Redfish. OMG the food was so amazing!!!
Then off to dinner, but not right after lunch... At Red Fish Grill
This was okay, the food had too many unfamiliar sauces that I was not too fond of... BUT it was voted "Best Seafood" in NO. We ordered some seafood combo appt and the swordfish.
Day 2

All "dolled" up
Catfish Po boy
Blackened Redfish... again...
HAD to try the coffee and beignets everyone was talking about. Waited in line for about 15 minutes. It was eh. But I'm not crazy about sweets and I'm an instant coffee kind of girl anyway.
In front of the famous St. Louis Cathedral
In an art gallery... with Grandpa Elliot. I have no clue who he was, but Jigs did... And then......
Later that evening, we saw Grandpa Elliot, a local celebrity. He sang us a sweet song!
Day 3
Getting some lunch before the Swamp Tour
After at swamp we were back in the city. In the Frenchmen area. In comparison to MPLS, this area was like Uptown, total hipster area.
My Fleur-de-tini and his Bloody Mary
BBQ shrimp. The sauce was awesome.
Po Boy and Redfish... again.
Then off to the jazz bars.
These guys were a lot of fun. At the Maison Bourbon. Nothing like great jazz music to end the night.
